Support areas
How Ingenes Studio QMS supports automotive quality
The system structures areas typical for automotive suppliers: quality planning, part approval, control plans, measurements, SPC, suppliers and problem response.
APQP — Advanced Product Quality Planning
APQP tools support new product quality planning: phase schedule, milestone checklists, documentation of risks and preventive actions.
PPAP — Production Part Approval Process
The PPAP module manages part approval packages: collects required documentation (PSW, dimensions, materials, MSA, performance tests) and tracks customer approval status.
Control plans and special characteristics
The system supports creation of control plans linked to product and process special characteristics and risk reduction action tracking.
MSA — Measurement System Analysis
Recording MSA study results (Gauge R&R, linearity, stability) for each measuring device. Alerts when acceptable %GRR thresholds are exceeded.
SPC — Statistical Process Control
Control charts (Xbar-R, Xbar-s, I-MR) with automatic signal detection using Nelson/Westgard rules. Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk indices for special characteristic processes.
Suppliers and supplier audits
Supplier qualification and evaluation, supplier quality system requirements, supplier audit register and corrective action tracking.
Special characteristics
Register of product and process special characteristics with customer symbols, linked to process control, control plans and PPAP documentation.
Nonconformities and problem response
Handling suspect batches, quarantine, customer notification procedure and 8D reports with response deadlines.
Why Ingenes Studio QMS
A tool designed for automotive requirements
Core Tools in one place
APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC are handled as integrated modules — data flows between them automatically, eliminating manual re-entry.
Meeting OEM customer requirements
The system handles customer-specific requirements (CSR) from leading OEM manufacturers: report formats, complaint response deadlines and required PPAP documents.
Special characteristics management
Complete CC and SC register with linkage throughout the entire document chain — from FMEA through control plan to work instruction — ensuring consistency and no control gaps.
Ready evidence for IATF auditor
All records required by the standard and IATF auditors are available in one system, exportable to PDF or shareable via audit link.
Key module
CAPA and 8D report — response to OEM requirements
8D report structure
The system guides users through all 8D methodology stages: from problem description (D1–D2) through root cause analysis (D4) to implementation and verification of permanent corrective actions (D6–D7).
OEM deadline tracking
Automatic response deadline counters (typically 24h / 10 days / 60 days) with email notifications for action owners and escalation on delay.
Is / Is Not analysis
Built-in Is / Is Not form helps precisely define problem boundaries before starting root cause analysis.
Export to customer formats
8D report exported to standard formats accepted by customers (Excel, PDF). Templates configurable to specific OEM requirements.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Questions we most often hear from automotive sector companies.
Does the system support PPAP level 3 and above?
Yes. The PPAP module supports all 5 PPAP levels and collects a complete set of 18 required document elements, including PSW, dimensional results, material reports, MSA, SPC and appearance approval (AAR).
Does the system support VDA 6.3 process audits?
Yes. The Audits module includes a ready-made VDA 6.3 checklist (P1–P7). Auditor results are automatically calculated to a Q index with A/B/C categorisation. Corrective actions are generated directly from audit findings.
How does the system handle customer notifications when a nonconformity is detected?
The Nonconformities module includes a Suspect Material Notification procedure: identifying shipped batches that may contain the nonconformity, generating a customer notification letter and tracking responses and returns.
Does SPC work in real time from the production line?
SPC chart data can be entered manually by the operator or imported automatically from measurement systems via API. Chart signals are visible immediately after measurement entry.
Does the system support supplier certificate management?
The Suppliers module records certificates (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, IATF CSR) with expiry dates and automatic pre-expiration alerts, preventing work with uncertified suppliers.
Is Ingenes Studio QMS intended only for large automotive companies?
No. The system is scalable — it handles both Tier 1 suppliers with the full range of IATF requirements and smaller Tier 2/3 suppliers implementing selected modules. Configuration adapts to your processes.
